Agrees to the general principles of the Food Hygiene Rating (Wales) Bill

The Food Hygiene Rating (Wales) Bill and Explanatory Memorandum were laid before the Assembly on 28 May 2012.

The report of Health and Social Care Committee on the Food Hygiene Rating (Wales) Bill was laid before the Assembly on 4 October 2012.

The motion was agreed in accordance with Standing Order 12.36.

7.   Debate on the City Regions Report

Believes that city regions will contribute to economic growth most effectively if transport and digital connectivity is improved throughout the region.

Amendment 1 was agreed in accordance with Standing Order 12.36.

Add as new point at end of motion:

Calls on the Welsh Government to ensure that local authorities have adequate democratic oversight of decisions made at the city region level.

Expresses concern that the report does not adequately address the role that industrial centres in the north-east of Wales can play in leading economic growth in north Wales.

Believes the success of city regions will depend on co-operation between all tiers of government; together with the corporate, public and third sectors.
